The school program serves students diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities ages 2 to 14 years. The programs education and treatment approach is based on the principles of Applied behavior analysis (ABA) , an intervention program that applies principles of behavior to learning.
We offer full day, year-round educational services. The goal of the Empower School is to provide our students with the opportunity to succeed in a school setting where their individual needs can be efficiently assessed and effectively addressed.
Our teaching model uses of Applied Behavior Analysis to develop language, social, and academic skills for children with various developmental disabilities.
All teaching is carried out in a 1:1 format through both discrete trial and natural environment training. Opportunities for small group social interactions occur on a daily basis.
Detailed narrative progress reports will be provided and discussed with the parents every three months. Communication between home and empower school will be enhanced by the use of student communication folders.
